As the chair of IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS) Wuhan Chapter, I would like to welcome everyone to visit our website.

IEEE PELS is one of the major technical branches of IEEE, and is the most influential organization of power electronics area in the world. Power electronics is one of the major cutting-edge technologies in the 21th century, highly influencing the modern industry, transportation and power grid. With IEEE PELS, researchers, students and engineers in the power electronics area will be able to exchange ideas and collaborate with each other. Regional societies are the local branches of IEEE PELS. Each regional society will be responsible for the IEEE PELS routine works in the related area. IEEE PELS Wuhan Chapter is the regional society of Wuhan area.

Wuhan is a city of power electronics. There are more than ten universities in this city with power electronics programs. Wuhan also has many important industry corporations with power electronics technologies. IEEE PELS Wuhan Chapter was found in 2018. In the past two years, we were building our organization from zero to an important branch of IEEE PELS. We have our members in different universities and companies in Wuhan area. Conferences, seminars and lab tours have been organized by IEEE PELS Wuhan Chapter. In the year of 2020, IEEE PELS granted the “best chapter award” to IEEE PELS Wuhan Chapter, which is the major recognition for our work in the past two years.

Wuhan is a heroic city. We have won the battle against COVID-19 in the spring of 2020. This pandemic is still impacting academic activities in the world. We are still trying hard to overcome the difficulties and do the work. The publication of IEEE PELS Wuhan Chapter website is an important step for our future development.
